  • The city is divided into quadrants--Northeast, Northwest, Southest, and Southwest.
  • Be careful!
    • Addresses in Washington, D.C. include which quadrant it is in. A street name and number may exist in two quadrants at the same time. However, all sections come together at the U.S. Capitol.
  • Be careful!
    • Traffic lights are on the sides of roads, rather than overhead. Also, you can easily end up on the wrong road, especially at night when signs are hard to read.
